- The new Advisory Board member brings additional utilities expertise and corporate development experience

(powercloud, Offenburg, November 20, 2020) Carola Wahl will be joining the Advisory Board of powercloud GmbH as an expert to provide support in the areas of energy utilities and digital transformation. In these fields, she possesses extensive experience as a manager, consultant, and active supervisory board member. Marco Beicht, Founder and CEO of powercloud, sees the appointment as an important step in the overall strategic development of powercloud: “We are currently in the next phase of scaling and internationalizing our business. This means we are facing brand-new challenges. With her expertise, Carola Wahl will help us continue to expand our position as a reliable partner for German energy suppliers. Moreover, she will be supporting us with initiating the right measures for our internationalization strategy.”
The Advisory Board is now five members strong with the addition of Carola Wahl. She is currently an administrative and advisory board member at Generali Schweiz AG and Future Energy Management GmbH. Previously she was the chief transformation and marketing management officer at AXA Schweiz in charge of data- and cloud-based transformation. Carola Wahl also worked at AOL Bertelsmann, sat on the management board at Booz Allen Hamilton, and headed the sales and customer service department at Telekom Deutschland for twelve years.
“I see an enormous potential for powercloud, particularly in the international sector. Powercloud’s domestic market – the German power sector – is one of the most deregulated markets in the world. The growing deregulation of markets outside Germany will also increase the pressure on innovation and efficiency there, thus generating a large demand for powercloud’s solutions,” says Carola Wahl confidently on her appointment.

Start-ups such as powercloud help large energy utility companies realize their digital transformation more rapidly, while conversely the large corporations help the start-ups to scale their business both locally and globally.”
