- Europe’s fastest-growing energy, utilities billing/CRM system establishes powercloud Americas in Atlanta Tech Village
(Atlanta, GA, 21/06/28) powercloud, the fastest growing billing system in the energy and utilities industry, announced today it has formally entered the North American market, bringing energy and utility companies the efficiencies and innovations that have helped companies across Europe optimize their financial resources.
In making the statement, founder and CEO Marco Beicht also announced that Steven Dawson has been named Vice President of Sales, North America to spearhead market activities in the region. Dawson brings more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry, working for companies as SAP, Oracle, and Genesys. He is recognized for building Salesforce Energy & Utilities (formerly Vlocity) in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland from the bottom up. His new mission is focused on migrating energy and utilities companies in North America away from old on-premises/legacy systems to a new modern architecture and billing platform in the cloud.
“Steven has proven his knowledge and ability to transform back-office systems to cloud-based operations,” said Beicht. “In all of his endeavors, he has helped energy companies reduce operational and acquisition costs while achieving the best possible customer experience. We know we have the right person to lead powercloud’s efforts in North America.” Beicht also noted that Dawson will be showcasing powercloud to the nation’s top electric, gas and utilities executives at CS WEEK, August 17-19 in Tampa, FL.

Dawson previously served as Strategic Account Director and Sales Director (Energy and Utilities DACH) for Vlocity, which was acquired by Salesforce in June 2020. He also served in senior sales roles at Genesys, Oracle and FIS.
